I'm an experienced tutor with a passion for helping students succeed and accomplish their goals. I'm currently on a gap year and will begin my undergraduate studies at Harvard University in the fall of 2021. As a student myself, I studied the college admissions process and focused on SAT and ACT preparation in order to maximize my potential admissions, and enjoy helping other students do the same. Having been born and raised in Puerto Rico, Spanish is my native language, so I am also available to provide language tutoring. I'm also learning Chinese and truly enjoy studying languages. I'm available to tutor lower grade levels as well, and have vast experience volunteering with younger children. I strive to be accommodating and flexible to ensure students have the best possible experience. As a perfect-scorer in the SAT Math, I saw my own score go up over 150 points and have helped other students achieve similar results. Getting to know the SAT Math section and is key to doing well, and I feel comfortable providing thorough explanations and sharing tips and tricks. I scored a perfect 36 in the ACT English and Reading sections, and a 770 in SAT Reading. Learning the structure of how the ACT/SAT asks questions and the answers they want is essential to mastering the tests. I'm happy to share my knowledge with other students and help them be confident in their test-taking abilities. As a student myself, I thoroughly studied the college admissions process and learned how to maximize my potential. I was admitted to every single school I applied to, including Ivy Leagues and other Top 20 institutions. I also received prestigious scholarships and awards such as the National Merit Scholarship and the US Presidential Scholar recognition, which awards the 161 highest-achieving graduating high school students. I would love to help other students navigate this complex process and tailor their applications to suit who they are. I love meeting new people and helping others, so I thoroughly enjoy tutoring.
